The Illinois Association for Early Childhood Teacher Educators (ILAECTE) was reactivated in 2008 and is an affiliate of the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators (NAECTE). Illinois AECTE serves as a professional organization to support early childhood teacher education in all its forms, including pre-service teacher preparation programs, licensure programs, and in-service teacher professional development.
Our biannual meetings, resources, and networking connections are intended to promote the professional growth of our membership, and serve as resources for discussing and examining the issues that are important to our profession.
Although not required, members are encouraged to also join the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators (NAECTE).
